Acura has a long standing reputation for producing quality consumer automobiles that deliver in the showroom and on the road, and doing it for people with a more moderate budget. The Acura RSX was no different. First produced in 2002, the Acura RSX, the American version of the Honda Integra, has stood tall with both consumers and auto critics alike. It spent two years on Car and Drivers list of the top ten cars in the country, the 10Best list.

Very similar to the 7th gen Civic coupe, the Acura RSX featured small but important differences. The RSX stood with a wider, lower stance than the Civic, and it prominently displayed a crease running vertically up the hood to the windshield. This formed a point at the nose which increased aerodynamics on the car. Many critics have said that the Acura RSX was lacking in both charisma and identity because of its similarities to the Civic.

Where the Acura RSX truly stands out is the interior. Elegance in simplicity, the center console is free from the esoteric lights and gadgets that jumble most modern cars. Acura takes a step in a different direction with the RSX and leaves only an elegant, slightly curved dash.

The RSX shyly vaunts a two liter engine which can produce 155 horsepower at 6500rpm. While not the fastest or most powerful engine on the market, the Acura RSX will get the job done, and at 34mpg on the highway to boot. The coupe also puts out staggeringly low emissions, making it very eco-friendly in this time of green awareness. Overall, the Acura RSX is an excellent car for the working man who still wants a bit of style, but doesn't need excessive horsepower. The line was put out of production in 2006, but many pre-owned Acura RSXs are still on the market.
