Year 1973 saw the first Porsche Turbo prototype on display at several shows across the Europe. In the year 1974, the Porsche 911 was launched in the market featuring a 260 BHP engine with 3 litres capacity.

With electric windows, Bilstein shocks, headlamp washers, air conditioning, tinted glass and leather interior, it was a more than a luxurious car. At first 500 units were produced, but it became so popular that they ended up selling 1000.
There were several features of this car which made a great impression on people, including large rear wing, and large tyres which came with wide wheels.

By the year 1978, many enhanced features were added to the model, for example an engine with capacity of 3.3 litres, and resultant 40 BHP more. Modifications were also made to the rear wing by removing 2 different grilles; the two were replaced with a slightly elevated, single big smooth surface; this slight elevation was made in order to create some room for an intercooler. 2nd energy crunch resulted in turbo being removed in America and Japan in the year 1979; only after around 7 years, that is, in the year 1986, the turbo made its appearance back in America.

In the year 1993, the engine’s capacity was increased to 3.6 litres. Another newer model made its appearance in the market in the year 1996. This model has an engine which could deliver 408 BHP, and has a six-speed gearbox. Less evocative rear wing, gives it a very elegant look. The wheel diameters are eighteen inches, and consist of 5 hollow spokes, which reduce the weight by around 20%. Front wing has air ducts, which makes braking system more powerful. Lincoln is a brand known for luxury vehicles. This brand was always the first choice of extremely rich and famous people; let it be very famous Thomas Edison, or the 31st President of US, Herbert Hoover. In recent times also, the brand carries on designing and creating luxury vehicles.

The Lincoln brand is a line of luxury vehicles and cars from Ford Motor Company. Lincoln continental was Lincoln’s flagship sporting four doors till the year 1981. Lincoln continental was produced for years until the production was stopped in the year 2002. The car had an elegant body with chauffeur’s compartment opened and compartment for passenger closed; this unique design was responsible for the car being named continental.

The first model of the Continental was designed and developed to act as a personal vehicle for Edsel Ford. But it just turned out to be so good, both performance and appearance wise, that the company decided to market and make it available to the world too. In the year 1938 that Bob Gregorie, the chief stylist, was commissioned by Ford to create and provide a custom design. The design that Gregorie came up with was an elegant convertible one featuring a long hood covering the Lincoln V12 engine. The added features were a short trunk, extended front fenders, & a spare tire mounted outside. Very soon, the outside mounted spare tire became the Continental's trademark.

The year 1961 saw the Lincoln Continental becoming the 1st automobile to get the title of “design of the year”.

At the 2010 Auto Show in Los Angeles, CA, Honda introduced the Honda Fit EV, their concept of the electric car. The electric version of the Honda Fit is set to launch in the United States in two years.

The Honda Fit EV will be produced with three driving modes: normal, sport, and econ. The “econ” mode of driving will extend the mileage range of the driver by 17% when compared to the most often used normal mode. When driven in the “sport” mode, the Honda Fit EV you can expect the car to accelerate in the same way a compact car with a gasoline engine of 2.0 liters would.
