ferrari 612 scaglietti

Motors, race cars, high stakes and fanatic motor race fans where still a bit unknown then. Gran turismo racing then was for local fans and aficionados only. In these days of super jets and concords, even racers from the other side of the globe can join a race in a matter of minutes.

With the hundreds of luxury sports car joining the motor sports world today, the Ferrari 612 Scaglieti arrived in just the nick of time to provide a more exciting competition for the others. Named in honor of Sergio Scaglieti (a modenese coach-builder), this fantastic race machine can hold its own on the race track.
Although Ferrari says it was inspired by the Ferrari 375MM of the 1950's which was specifically commissioned by Roberto Rosselini as a present to actress Ingrid Bergman, the Ferrari 612 Scaglieti does not look that good in terms of design and visual impact (not to some anyway). What makes it exciting to have is its roomy interior that can house up to four adult persons (a 2 by 2 seat build). Built at 6 feet and 3 inches, it fits comfortably with ease.

The Ferrari 612 has a549bhp V2 engine that goes with a 5.7 liter power up. Its hefty 1,840 kg weight is contained by an aluminum space frame and body that helps keep the weight down. Almost 85 percent of the car's build is inside its wheelbase. The Ferrari 612 can reach 60 miles per hour within 4.1 seconds. Somewhat like an impossible feat for a sports car with kind of built, but it does accelerate within that time span.

Its maneuverability is fantastic and the barking and body control that comes with it is easy and almost perfect. Offered at the car market on a £170,000 tag price, the Ferraro 612 Scaglieti sure can deliver the speed and grace it was built for luxury cars.
